Volunteer Clearances FAQ

What clearances will potential volunteers need to submit?

According to Act 153, as of July 1, 2015 the following clearances are required fro school volunteers. Please click on the links below to go directly to the appropriate website.

If the individual has been a continuous resident of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years:

  • Pennsylvania State Police Clearance

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance

  • Signed "Volunteer Clearance Exception" statement

If the individual has NOT been a continuous resident of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years:

 

  • Pennsylvania State Police Clearance

  • Pennsylvania Chld Abuse History Clearance

  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) report-PDE

                              Click here to register online. After you register online, you will need to visit a IdentoGo fingerprint facility. The IdentoGo website includes a listing of where these facilities are located throughout Pennsylvania.
