7th Grade Students and The Outsiders
At the start of the year, 7th graders read The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, focusing on character analysis, conflict identification, and thematic discussion. To celebrate completing the unit, students dress up as their favorite characters, enjoy chocolate milk (the gang’s favorite), and watch the movie together—embracing the iconic line, "Stay gold, Ponyboy, stay gold!"
